The blog is still coming, but in the meantime here is the latest news.

Book Launch

We launched the book with a party at my house last Saturday night (Sept 10.) In my speech I gave credit to the hundreds of people who have shared their wisdom with me. Some people think I am a great thinker. But the reality is that I am a good listener and pick up pearls of wisdom from the most unlikely places. In a sense I feel like an imposter. I steal wisdom and sell it.

When I first wrote this book I called it 'Coming Home' (don't ask me right now for my reasoning). One of my friends, Roslyn, was visiting and when I told her the title she screwed up her nose. 'So you don't like it?' I asked. That night the title 'Mental Speed Bumps' jumped into my head.

This Sunday I leave for Zuric to start a world tour to promote the book. The lead-up has been hectic - getting the online store established, arranging packaging for the book, etc. But I am excited. I believe the content of this book is far more ground-breaking than anything I have done before... even more so than Traffic Calming which first put me on the international map.

I am taking my Street Reclaiming Chair with me so hope to post some pictures of me sitting in it in the Prague Square or Paris or Times Square in New York. Watch this space. (For details of where I will be when, click the Press button.)
